The Queen of Natural Face Masks

This simple solution has been a beauty staple for many beauty queens, for over thousands of years. The infamous cleopatra was a solid believer!

Its the bees knees! Its honey!

Honey is a natural humectant. Which means it steals moisture from the air and fixes it into the skin. Honey contains enzymes that allow it to penetrate deep in your skin.

It helps to keep your skin hydrous for several hours. So, your face will feel smooth and soft skin for awhile.

Honey exfoliates your skin in a gentle way, by removing dead skin cells! It also helps repair damaged and scarred skin.

Other amazing properties of this golden substance is that its antiseptic and antibacterial. Because of this it is a perfect solution for taming and healing blemish in a gentle manner.

My personal favorite is that it helps you age in reverse. The natural antioxidants and moisturizing effects help control wrinkles and improve skin elasticity.

I learned about this, when I was 16 and its has been my go to mask for two and a half decades. No expensive spa treatment needed! Its hydrating, detoxing and clears the skin.

I like to keep things simple, and this works.

Depending on what I need, sometimes I add essential oils to the mix. But most of the time I use it right out of the jar.

Raw honey is ideal and most effective, because it is in the purest form. Opt for raw honey for the best results.

If you are a beginner with this, start with one spoon of honey on clean, dry skin, and let it sit for 10-20 minutes. Rinse with cool water.  If you are sensitive to anything bee related, this might not be the best choice for you. Spot test before trying anything.

Honey is sticky and it will drip as your skin warms it up. A great way to start is putting in on while taking a bath. The excess honey gets into the bath, and also hydrates your body. No mess!

There is beauty in simplicity and this is as simple as it gets! My favorite 1 ingredient face saver! Have you tried it, or are you willing to? Let me know what you think!
